If you're an aspiring actor or model, you may understand the struggle that comes with getting started. When I moved out of home to start modelling (bad idea, very bad idea), I fully understood what it meant to be a starving artist, emphasis on starving.
A couple people I met told me the best way to make it in this business is to have connections, and if you don't have connections - sorry. I promptly tossed that advice right in the trash next to a slew of exes, i'm quite glad I did.

I've found out from my own research and personal experience that you can make it without connections right out the gate, you just need to be willing to work hard, you might need to take some jobs you would really rather not work but it's entirely necessary to build a portfolio.
